Teri is a recently retired Army Veteran. She served just over 20 years in the Army/Army Reserves, including deployments to Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Iraq. She also had two active duty tours in The Republic of South Korea. During her tenure in the Army Reserves she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Degree, and is currently working as a Registered Nurse.
About the author
Teri Stanley (Christensen) was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. At age 17 she joined the Army Reserves as a Huey Helicopter Mechanic. After high school she enlisted on Active Duty as a Black Hawk Helicopter Mechanic/Crewchief. She was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and did two active duty tours in South Korea. During this time she also deployed to Somalia and Saudi Arabia. She got out after eight years, and spent almost four years as a civilian before reenlisting in the Army Reserves as a Combat Medic.
